Four Seasons Tea Restaurant

Fei Fei has been telling how nice the oyster mee here tasted and he likes this one compared the one near Town area. Again, we ran out of idea of where to have lunch and this is the nearest to us that time. So off we went to our lunch destination.
This restaurant is located at Sunway Tunas, just next to Ben’s Diner and behind Teow Chew Meng restaurant. It is at the corner lot. This is actually a branch and the main outlet is Jalan Terengganu.
The interior for the branch is smaller compared to the main outlet, fits about 5-6 round tables and 4-5 rectangular tables.
Huat Koay and Fei Fei like to come here for their oyster mee and obviously this is one of our dishes this time too. It is also the first dish to arrive.
The medium size portion can fill 2-3 persons’ stomach. Huat Koay said the oyster mee did not have strong oyster flavour but still tasted good and the gravy tasted just nice.
Next dish was pumpkin chicken. Well, this is quite unique as pumpkin is used and rarely do we see pumpkin dishes or its varieties around. The chicken was briefly fried earlier before cooked together with pumpkin. The pumpkin made a thick, creamy sauce covering the chicken.
Tam Ciak felt the chicken in pumpkin sauce tasted a bit like crabs cooked in salted dried eggs. One thing to note is that this dish tasted delicious while it is hot because once it cools down, the sauce can be sticky and “jelak”.
Spare ribs was the third dish and it was cooked with dark soya sauce. The ribs were quite juicy and tender but quite sweet.
Fried tanghoon (glass noodles) was the fourth dish arrived. Our first impression was, “Why so dark one? The chef overused the soy sauce?” The colour was quite similar to the spare ribs dish we had earlier.
Then we found out our neighbour ordered the same thing and they too had the same thing. The tanghoon tasted sweet as well and surprisingly not salty.
The Four Seasons Vegetables was the last dish to arrive. It contained mixture of 4 types of vegetables fried in sambal.
Then we had another dish which is the soup of the day. Wait, thought we did not order soup this round?? Then the lady explained the soup was complimentary. Wow, that is a good effort to attract customers.
